BQ25611D: or BQ25619 Boost ouput while charging?

It looks like both of the parts will disable the boost output while charging. Is it possible to use the USB charge in voltage to run the boost until not needed and then the battery can start charging?

Hi Tracy,

The charger either boosts from battery back to VBUS or charges the battery from power applied at VBUS, but not both at the same time. Also, there is a several millisecond delay transitioning between the two modes of operation.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your response. Is there any way to do a 5v passthrough and NOT charge the battery if desired (until you set it to)?

Hi Tracy,

No. This charger topology requires the input power to go through the buck converter. Is BQ24133, which passes the input voltage to the system all the time, a better fit?
