Hello,
I’m Gabriel An, working in TI Korea automotive.
This is LM5163 block diagram which is the COT topology.
I knew that Ton starts for constant on-time, when feedback voltage starts over than reference voltage.
If then, what and how the ON/OFF Timers(ONE Shot On-Timer) works in the buck converter?
And, Why there are no information about toff?
Why only typ values shows, and does not show up min/max value of ton?
Thank you
Hi
1. the on time is fixed in specific Ton=Ron/Vin/2.5, so when after the high side turn on "fixed time" in specific Vin, it will shutdown automatically. for fixed on time, it adjust off time to adjust the dutycycle which you can treat as change frequency to change the duty.
2 On time generate can be treated as a current decide by Vin/Ron charging internal cap which will be discharging at fixed voltage.
Thanks
