TPS61175: Application report inquiry

Part Number: TPS61175

Hi,

Our customer read the "TPS61175 SEPIC Design" application report (http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva337/slva337.pdf). In figure 1., they want to know what is the purpose of the 2 small value resistor (R6 and R5) as they are not mentioned in the app report or even in the datasheet.

I would appreciate if you can help us with this.

Thank you.

Regards,

Cedrick

  • Dear Sir,

R5 is for the bode plot test. It is of small value.

R6 : when Vin is not high, the input voltage can be directly connected to the Vin pin through R6.

The EVM is a test board for the customer. So the EVM  has much more components than the schematic on the datasheet. This makes the board easy to use.
