I used UCC28180 for pfc control. I provide VCC voltage, VSENSE and ISENSE but gate pulse is not coming. Why gate pulse is not coming and how can I generate gate pulse from UCC28180?

Hi Abinomol,
Please attach a schematic for your circuit to review.

Hi,
This is the schematic diagram link which I used.

While testing the entire circuit, the switch was not triggered and i didn't get the output. Then I tested UCC28180 separately by providing externally VSENSE, ISENSE and VCC. Gate pulse is coming with same frequency but amplitude in milli volts range.
Hi Abinomol,
The reference design requires a "PFC_ON" signal in order for the PFC controller and gate driver IC to get the VCC voltage. I would suggest not applying VSENSE and ISENSE directly. These signals should come from the feedback divider and primary current return (ISENSE should be a negative voltage varying in amplitude with twice the AC line frequency for example). If you are seeing only mV out of the gate driver it is possible the UCC28180 IC is damaged and needs to be replaced.

Hi Benjamin,
I replaced the UCC28180 IC for two three times. But the result was same. How can i generate gate pulse from UCC28180?
Hi Abinomol,
Please describe how you are applying the the power up sequence. What AC voltage, Bias voltage and PFC_ON voltage are you applying to the board? Also please attach waveforms for the following signals: VCC, VSENSE, VCOMP, ICOMP, GATE
