Hi team,

quick question,

Will the bq25700A do swithcing if we set it in Hi-Z mode when the adapter is present?

For MOSFET integrited charger like bq24259, we can turn off RBFET to minimum the input current from adapter. But for external MOSFET charger, how the Hi-Z mode help to reduce the leakage current from adapter? Will the hiz stop the charger switching?

Hey Hollis,

Yes, HIZ mode will disable the converter even if the adapter is applied. This will also lower the quiescent current from the input source.

So there should be no current flowing from adapter to VSYS when the 25700A in Hiz mode, right?
