Would you be able to elaborate more on the delay you are talking about?
If you are talking about the adjustable delay for the first 100% duty cycle before the device outputs PWM then that would be up to your design needs. If the delay is not necessarily important to you then you could leave the pin floating in which the device will have a delay of approximately 18us, which is caused by the internal circuitry.
