UA78L: Do you have any latch-up test data of UA78L12ACLP?

Hello guys,

One of my customers is considerin using UA78L12ACLP.

They always check ESD and Latch-up performance of all devices they will use before design starting.

They could find ESD performance in the device data sheet but couldn't find Latch-up performance.

Do you have any latch-up test data of UA78L12ACLP?

Or don't you have it because this device is a linear regulator which has 3 pins only?

Could you please give me your reply?

Hi Kazuya-san,

The UA78L is a bipolar device. Latchup tends to be a CMOS phenomenon. That being said, I will check to see if any latch-up testing has done since the device was developed around 44 years ago.

Hi Kazuya-san,

I confirmed that latch-up testing was never performed on this device.

Latch-up tends to be a CMOS phenomenon. it is not common in bipolar processes.
