BQ24105: power path

The power path was configured as shown below.

I wonder if the system can provide sufficient current when the battery voltage is discharged (Adapter is removed) through the parasitic diode of P-FET(Q5).

Is it OK to replace the P-FET switching circuit with one schottky diode?

    You can connect a diode from the Battery to the System and from the Input to the System. However, I would be worried about the power dissipation the diode would have depending on how heavy your system load is.

    If you have high current through these diodes, I would recommend a power path charger for your application such as the bq25713 or bq24773 for the NVDC powerpath or the bq24610, bq24133, or the bq2417x for higher current and traditional powerpath.
