TPS61194-Q1: display jitter when Vin is lower than 5.8V

Part Number: TPS61194-Q1

Hi Team,

One of my cluster customer meet an issue when using TPS61194-Q1.

Their SCH is as attached.

When Vin is higher than 5.8V,  the output is normal. (4 string , 8LED per string, 80mA per string)

When Vin is lower than 5.8V, display is abnormal and could see the edge in the display jitter. At this time, customer said the output power is 9W.

Actually in datasheet, I found that in this typical application, the output power could be 30V*100mA*4=12W. Why the display jitter since customer’s system is only 9W?

As customer’s requirement, they need to output 4 string , 8LED per string, 80-100mA per string with Vin is 4.5V. This issue can’t meet their requirement.

Could you please give some advice or comment about this? Thanks!
