Hello all,

I would like to use BQ27510 to gauge the Batterie on my Board, and just reading how to use it. I decided to use EV2300 for writing the Flash and generate the golden Image but i don't really understand how to calibrate the IC. Does someone have some Guides about this Issue. I read in the Bq Easy Gui that i muss enter the actual voltage, temperature and current, but where should this parameters be measured?

I recommend reading this application note: How to Generate Golden Image for Single-Cell Impedance Track TM Devices

Also, I also recommend this application note for a little more information on the algorithm itself: Theory and implementation of Impedance Track battery fuel-gauging algorithm...

In short, the gauge needs the following in the final image that you will use in production:

1) to have its current and voltage sensors calibrated against an external standard (a multimeter for example).

2) information about your system (system load/processor interface)

3) information about the battery cell. (cell capacity, voltage/resistance profile, etc.)

Hi Charles,

i was reading the first Application note you suggested also. One thing is not clear for me, the calibration and how should i do that. Should i put a voltage somewhere (where?) and a current? It is said :

"The hardware necessary for calibration is simple. One current source, one voltage source, and one temperature sensor are required. The source
stability is important, and the accuracy is a secondary concern."

So again,where should i use the current, voltage Source?
