Hello Abhinav,

TPS3820 has a push/pull output. I am using a TMS320F28335 and its reset pin requires open collector.

Stephen,

The TPS3828 is the only open-collector output in that family. Is there another watchdog that is not P2P you would consider?

An open collector output part in a compatible footprint would be ok. I don't need the Manual reset pin, so if the new part has some other function in that pin location, I could just lift or break the pin off the pad.

Hi steven,

We don't have anything particularly in our portfolio that you could swap in for the TPS3828 that would be majority P2P. If you were okay to look at another watchdog device, it would be different package/pinout.

Hello Abhinav,

A new package/pinout would cause a new board layout, which I am not able to do at this time. I do have a way of working with what I have now, but it will require removal of the MR_N (active low manual reset) pin.

I guess I will have to just remove the pin.
