Hi team,

We want to use LM5060 to make the function of avoiding user connecting VIN and GND in contrast.

However, there are too many components in the example(more complex than our original discrete solution).

Original design only use 2 back to back MOSFET, 1 BJT, 2 diodes, and some resistors.

May I know that which components can be omitted?

And could it make to do OCP at 2A current?

The end equipment is professional audio mixer/control surface.

Hi Cindy,

LM76202-Q1 can be used as alternative for LM5060.

Let me know detail requirements. Do you need reverse polarity, reverse current protection ? Do you need auto-qualified device ?

I need reverse polarity protection, reverse current protection, OVP and OCP.

The key function is to protect from user connecting VIN and GND in contrast.

I don't need auto-qualified device.

Could you please help us to have a reference circuit design?

And your meaning is that LM5060 couldn't do OCP, right?

Hi Cindy,

LM5060-Q1 does provide crude OCP (but does not provide short circuit protection) and you would need all the additional components shown in the example figure for reverse polarity protection and reverse current protection.

For non-Q device, please use TPS2660
