TPS560200: Question regarding buck converter

Hi, I am working on a project that requires me to step down from 12v- 14.4v 3.3A battery to 3.3v 0.5A in order to operate a STM32.

I drew an schematic regarding it but still have hard understanding on enable slot.

If i leave enable pin open, would this chip steps down the voltage?

Hi,

Yes, if you float the EN pin, EN is enabled.

For your schematic, there is an error, R1 is shorted.

sorry it was because of the C5 that supposed to be in parellel with R1. if i set 47uF as C5. will this circuit work properly?

When leave the EN pin floating, the IC will work to generate 3.3V output voltage.

Hi,

47uF is too large, you can use 47pF, and this capacitor is used for optimizing the loop, adding or removing it are okay.

If C5=47uF is paralleled with R1, it is not correct, it is too large.

For this part, it doesn't need C5.
