Hi team,
Could you please review the following schematic (VIN=3.3V, Vout=1.1V) of TPS62810-Q1?
-. Schematic uses L=1.5uH / Cout=32uF. Is it acceptable?
-. Anything else?
Thanks,
Sam Lee

Hello Sam,
As mentioned in the Recommended Operating Conditions section (7.3), I recommend you use a maximum inductor value of 0.9uH,
I also advise you to use a 22uF capacitor at the input.
Your regulation point is set so Vout=1.15V, do you need slight margin in your application?
Thanks a lot!

Hi Dorian,
Thank you for your review. Can I ask one more?
I wonder why there is a limit to the maximum value. Can you explain the expected problem for inductors exceeding max. 0.9uH?
Thanks,
Sam Lee
Hello Sam,
Using higher values of inductor will mean different current storage capabilty and speed which was not designed for TPS62810.
If your are using higher value of inductor than 1.5uH than your system might not meet all characteristics it has been specified for.
Even if you adapt switching frequency, you might also see instability at load/line transients.
Thanks a lot!

Dorian
