BQ27Z561-R1: Help in better understanding difference and usage for BQ27Z561 / BQ27Z561-R1 / BQ27Z561-R2

Hi Team,

I've a question about the BQ27Z561 device.

On the TI web site I can see basically  three versions:

- BQ27Z561

- BQ27Z561-R1

- BQ27Z561-R2

From my understanding the BQ27Z561-R1 is a phisical device replacenent for the BQ27Z561 chip, from a hardware point of view, but I can read also about the BQ27Z561-R2 release, regarding this last one I can not see any hardware chip related this version, the web page:

is the suggested page for the chip R1, so my thinking is that the BQ27Z561-R2 is not related to a physical device, but instead is referring to a new firmware release for the BQ27Z561-R1 device.

So in order to have the latest feature I've to got the BQ27Z561-R1 chip and then program it with the BQ27Z561-R2 firmware, I'm right?
