BQ35100: The behavior in disable mode

Part Number: BQ35100

Hi  Experts:

I have a quick question to help me decide the battery charging solution.

When I disable the BQ35100 and the Vsupply is existing , could the BQ35100 still monitor the battery voltage and output the ALERT signal to indicate the batter low warning ?  I only need the BQ35100 to report the status of low battery voltage in this usage.

Thanks! Look forwards to your reply!

  • Jason,

When the bq35100 is disabled (GE low) the gauge is off and it cannot measure anything. If you leave the gauge in ACC mode you can only wake it up for a brief time to get this information. It will still require host interaction thought to turn on the gauge.

    Thanks,
