TPS3701: Propagation Delay while detecting an Under or Over Voltage

Hello,

The propagation delay values given the table and graph of the datasheet doesn't seem to be in sync. Please let us know which value to consider while designing a circuit where propagation delay is critical. tPD(LH) is given as 28us in table while in graph tPD(LH) is in the range of 2-3 us.

Attached are the images of table and graph given in the datasheet and the datasheet itself. Refer Page - 6 (Table), 8(Graph)

Hi Shyama,

I believe the graphs are out of sync with the datasheet specs, which means you should take what is in the timing requirements table as the correct data point. I will check on this further.

Hi,
Please keep me posted about the TPS3701 datasheet error issue. I want to use it for creating a over current trip signal for a current sense signal from a hall sensor. Thus, propagation delay must be kept to a minimum. It would be great if you could recommend an alternate IC too.

Would you suggest going for the design used in the attached application note?

Hi Shyama,

Have you tried using a current sense amplifier such as the INA240 and a precision voltage reference such as the TL431LI?
