UCC28742: Design Calculator Rev B FET margin of safety

Hello,

In Rev B of the Design Calculator for UCC28742 (found on this page: http://www.ti.com/product/UCC28742/toolssoftware), are the FET current ratings on the 'Calculations' sheet minimums or do those have a margin of safety applied to them? See below for an example for an 85-265VAC input, 24V 6.5A output designed with this calculator.

Hello,

These current ratings are based on typical and there is no margin of safety. When you select electrical components, I would select them to be rated for 125% to 150% of there nominal calculated currents and voltages.
