BQ40Z50-R2: Unsealed data flash write access

Part Number: BQ40Z50-R2

Hi team,

Quick question here. Could you help clarify section 12.5.2 "Sealed to Unsealed" in the BQ40z50-R3 TRM? It states: "In UNSEALED mode, all data, SBS, and DF have read/write access". Which makes it seem like there is no issue to write to data flash in unsealed mode. But then the next sentence states: "Note that although writing to most of the SBS commands are accepted by the gauge, the written data will be immediately overwritten by the gauge and the write action is ignored." This seems to contradict the previous sentence. Can you elaborate on what is ignored and what can be written in unsealed mode? I'd like to very that data flash can be updated in unsealed mode.

Thank you!

Nate
