General Enquiry on Power Regulator

Hi,

Just for my curiosity.

1. Does TI have a power regulator chip that has both Switching(DCDC) and LDO regulator built-in? 

2. AND it can automatically switch between DCDC and LDO based on the current consumption of a single load.

    Hi David,

    I assume you are looking into buck regulators, where the input voltage is always higher than the output voltage? If so, I will assign this question to the buck team. 

    As far as I know, there are certainly buck converters with an integrated LDO, but not sure about the automatic switchover depending on the load current.
