TPS54341: Average Soft Start Current

I already saw that 1.7uA soft start current (Iss). However, on section 8.2.2.6 Slow-Start Capacitor page 33, there is an example indicating to charge the effective output capacitance of 70 µF up to 3.3 V with an average current of 1 A requires a 0.2-ms slow-start time. The average current 1A there is the Issavg used on equation 43, am I correct?

Yes the 1 A is the value used in eq 43 as Issavg.  It is just an example of using the equation.

Yes; it is just an assumed value.  You would use a value below current limit that you feel is OK.  Maybe 1 A or 2A.

More current means faster start-up if needed.
