UCC28704: TINA TI Model encrypted doens't allow to create macro

Part Number: UCC28704

Hi friends,

My name is Alec, i'm trying to develop my bachelor final project and i wanted to check my design calculations through the TINA TI software importing the PSpice model and simulating it, but i got 2 problems:

-i can't find how do i have to connect the terminals in the macro

-after trying for a random assignment it appears me an error: "Invalid device:$CDNENCSTART. Line: #34."

i read that it's due to a encryptation in the model. Can you help me please?

Thank you for your time friends!

  • Hello,

I have heard this complaint about TI Tina as well.  They have not fixed this issues.  However, they are working on releasing a new simulator that should not have this problem being released in the next couple of months.

I am not sure what you are trying to import. If it is a FET maybe you can use the generic instead, with external capacitors and a resistor to represent Rdson.  You can do similar things with the diodes.

If some other control IC maybe you can build it discreetly.

The other option is to try to find a free simulator.  I know that you can get one from Cadence.  The following link will bring you to there website.
