TPS1HB08-Q1: Question about Current Limit Pin

Part Number: TPS1HB08-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS4H160-Q1

On this device (TPS1HB08AQPWPRQ1) the data sheet says that the current limit pin should be tied through a resistor to VBB.

A related that part that I am also using. (TPS4H160-Q1) says that the current limit pin should be tied to GND through the resistor.

Are they really different or is one data sheet in error.

Thanks,

Don

  • Hello Don,

The datasheet for both are correct. They are two different generation devices. The TPS4H160-Q1 requires the current limit resistor to be between the current limit pin and ground while the TPS1HB08 requires the current limit resistor to be between the pin and VBB.
