BQ25886: Dynamically charge current setting through resistor

Hello Dears,

I was wondering if I can dynamically control charge current through resistors. Please find my schematic.

With other words, does the BQ25886 IC reacts immediately, when resistor value is changed dynamically, or input source detection/qualification event must be occurred in order to set charge current?

Also please one more question:

Is the toggling of dedicated charge enable pin forces BQ25886 IC to repeat input source detection algorithm?

Dear Vahram,

Changing the resistance on ICHGSET will change the charging current in real time. This will not trigger the input detection to rerun however.

In addition, toggling the /CE pin will not force input detection to be rerun.

Dear Vahram,

Input source detection will not be run again until a new input source is plugged in.

But if the user has a DCP connected, ICO will rerun when a new VBUS is plugged in, VINDPM is entered, or upon a VBUS_OVP event.
