WEBENCH® Tools/TPS54360: Can impose Parallel Cap on Rfbt improve pulse response/Ripple?

Part Number: TPS54360

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hello TI Engineer,

I am considering design a Inverting Buck-boost converter with TPS54360B but meet problems.

1)

In Reference designs, There is no Capacitors on Rfbt, which connect Vout and FB. Theoratically paralelling capacitors on Rfbt can make feedback more sensitive, but is it true in real application? Will this make the system unstable? If it is better for the performance to do so, what will be the recommended way to choose Value of the capacitor?

Regards,

  • The design tool on the product folder should provide all the

info you need to design an IBB with this device.  This device has

external frequency compensation that makes it somewhat easier to

compensate an IBB.  A CFF can be used across RFBT, however the

value is best selected empirically, if needed.

We also have several app notes on the TI website that may help.
