BQ27520-G4: The thermistor value in TS pin

Part Number: BQ27520-G4

Dear colleague,

Now our customer has 2 types battery pack.

The first type of battery pack has 10Kohm, the temp test result is normal.

The second type of battery pack has 100Kohm, they temp test result is wrong.

So when use second type of battery pack, how to deal with this situation?

Thanks a lot!

Best Regards,

Rock Su

  • Hi Rock,

What is the 10k ohm or 100k ohm? Are you talking about the NTC thermistor?

If so,  the easiest way is to change the 100k ohm thermistor to a 10k ohm thermistor because the external temperature sensing is optimized with the use of a high-accuracy negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor with R25 = 10.0 kΩ ±1%. B25/85 = 3435K ± 1% (such as Semitec NTC 103AT).

Moving to another thermistor resistance profile requires an update to the default thermistor coefficients in data flash.

  • Dear colleague,

if I want to use another thermistor resistance profile instead the defualt themistor coefficients ,is there any instruction datasheet we can use.

and if the matching circuit need change too?

    Thanks a lot!
