bq27500, bqeasy maximum taper current of the charger?

Hi,

Have a question about the dataflash values

The constant Data Flash->Configuration->Charge Termination->Taper current seems to get the value from bqeasy in step 2B ("what is the maximum taper current of the charger possible considering charger tolerance?").

Reading slua432a.pdf section 2.4, I get the feeling that Configuration->Charge Termination->Taper current possibly should be less then the maximum possible taper current, otherwise one of the three conditions for "Primary charge termination" is always fulfilled.

My charger teoretically would give a taper current of 570mA (if battery replaced by short circuit), but lies at 305mA during a charge cycle. The charger continues to charge the battery for 4 hours after reaching 4.200V, and during that time, the charge current slowly goes down to 5mA.

I would appreciate suggestions of what to do with "Taper current". (in case it should be set to something other then 350mA in my case).

Already got the tip to set Data Flash->Gas Gauging->Current Thresholds->Quit Current to less then the final charge current, so I'm aiming at 3mA there.

Thanks,

Simon
