3.3V to 2.5V 250mA LDO selection in radiation environment

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS7H1101A-SP, TPS7A4501-SP

Hello,

I am looking for an LDO that has undergone radiation testing. In the application, the input is 3.3V and the output is 2.5V. I am looking for a physically small part.

Where is a good place to look? I see this list where the power management parts tend to be not available when I go to the product page

Thanks,

Frank

  • Frank,

We have two radiation hardened LDO's.  One capable of 3A with some enhanced features.  This is the TPS7H1101A-SP.

We also have the TPS7A4501-SP.  It has a smaller footprint, and is capable of 1.5A.  Both devices are capable of meeting your needs, but the TPS7A4501-SP has a smaller footprint and less overhead if you do not need the features.

Both of these LDOs are highlighted in the Space Products Guide you linked in your post.

You mentioned that devices are "not available", is this in reference to the ordering and quality tab where it indicates all of the 5962- numbers are not available to buy?

At this time all flight units must be purchased through a distributor in order to properly get lot documentation.  We do have engineering units (/EM) units available for  purchase from the TI estore.

Please let me know if this does not answer your question.
