Choose the adequate sequencer

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3880, LM3881, UCD9081

Hi,

My custom PMIC contains 3 DC/DC buck converters and I have to add a sequencer to power them as the datasheet of the processor AM335x requiers.
But, I still not capable to know how to choose a sequencer which can supply my 3 rails (3.3V, 1.8V and 1.1V). I've obtained this list of sequencers :
LM3880
LM3881
LTC2924
LTC2937
LTC2928
and UCD9081
Knowing that i wanna compare between the results of a programmable one and simple one which doesn't have a constant delay time.

Waiting for your answer
Thank you

  • Hello

Do you want to monitor the voltage of the DC/DC? if not, LM3880 or LM3881 would be your best solution. As you said, the differences between these two are programmable delay or fixed delay. This would be up to AM335X. Most time LM3880 would be sufficient.

if you want to monitor the voltage of the DC/DC, the closing one is UCD9081, which can do sequencing and monitoring up to 8 channels.
