BQ21061: Not routing LP pin

Part Number: BQ21061

Hello TI team,

Due to space constraints, it would be great if the LP pin on the BQ21061 can be left un-routed. We want to always be in Low Power mode anyway, and since LP is pulled low internally, I am assuming this would be OK, correct? No issues with leaving LP pin inaccessible when we always want to be in Low Power?

Thanks,

Jeremy

  • Hello Jeremy,

This is fine to leave the pin floating. However, to communicate to the device when in battery only mode, you'll need to pull /MR low or else the device will be in low power mode and no I2C transactions will occur.
