BQ76952EVM: Missing Sub-commands, Example Code

Hi, I'm trying to build a 14 cell pack with early BQ76952 samples. So far it's going well but I don't have an EVM, so Battery Management Studio isn't as much help to me. It's full of useful information but doesn't reveal the register addresses and subcommand addresses I need to continue.

So I'm hunting register addresses. The datasheet and set of technical docs around it don't appear list a subcommand address for REG0 Config, Settings:Configuration:I2C Address, Settings:Configuration:Comm Idle Time, and a lot of others. Is this because they'll change in the next silicon round?

There was another post about example code for the part - I was hoping to get that hookup too if it's available. Thanks in advance.

HI Jessica,

I found my issue; I need to put the IC into CFG_Update mode and access through the RAM write method. I have been able to turn on the LDOs so the other features should also be OK and I'm developing them soon. So please don't spend any time here.

I would still like to get that MSP430 code though; any code would help me check, verify, and make development faster.

Hi Brent,

Please see the link to the available files containing MSP430 sample code at the links below. These are very preliminary examples and the register addresses have changed with different versions of the device silicon, so addresses may differ slightly from the version you are using. I plan to release examples to ti.com with the final production version of the device.
