Hi team,

Customer is using BQ27Z561-R2-DEVICE-FW in their battery, and they find some of the battery is unable to connect to I2C, fail rate 3/1000. Could you give some comments if there is any issue of this? What would cause this potential issue?

    Can you provide more details on these failed units? Have they been ever programmed by customers?  Did they use bqStudio to program these units?

    Andy,

    It's from Desay battery vendor, so I think they have already been programmed by the battery vendor. 

    What customer see is they could communicate with battery using I2C. The good unit could have communicate using I2C. The battery could provide power to system; After a short on the output side, there will be a POR and gauge could communicate successfully again. Could you help check what's wrong with this?

    They now use BQ27Z561-R2-Device-FW, does the hibernate mode could let gauge disable I2C communication?
