Hello,

In my application, I will be tracking charging and discharging time. I see that the state time register can give me the time spent in the current state.

1) Is there a register that tells me the current state?

2) Can the BQ40Z50 notify me when a change of state occurs?

Check the DSG bit of BatteryStatus(). You can find details in the bq40z50 TRM.

2) Can the BQ40Z50 notify me when a change of state occurs?

I don't see that is possible.
