BQ25570EVM-206 : error issue

Part Number: BQ25570EVM-206

I conducted the experiment using bq25570EVM board and solar panels. I used solar panels with specifications of Vmp= 1.5V and Imp=130mA.

In addition, conditions were set by connecting GND to /EN pin and GND to VOUT_EN pin. I put solar panels in the sun and measured how much VSTOR, VBAT, and VOUT would come out.

First, a solar panel measured a VIN value of 1.67V being transferred into the board (the temperature of the solar panel was not too hot and proper).

The capacitor connected to the VBAT was quickly charged by 2.2 V when it was in the sun. And, as you can see in the picture, the VSTOR is 46 mV, and the VOUT is 0 V, so no value was measured.

I wonder why VSTOR is too small and VOUT shows no change even though it seems to have been set up to satisfy the boost chasing conditions. I would like to ask what conditions have been omitted.

  • Sanghyun,

I do not understand why your EVM is not working.  For this EVM, with VOUT_EN=GND, VOUT should be zero. And, with /EN=GND, VSTOR should rise to VBAT_OV which is 4.2V, assuming you did not modify the resistors.  As I mentioned before, I think your EVM is damaged. Please order a new one.
