BQ24295: Fuel gauge function -Reg

Hi,

 

We have selected BQ24295 IC for single cell lithium ion battery charger applications.  

In this requirement, we want to measure the both charge and discharge percentage of battery.

Does it  BQ24295 IC has fuel gauge function inbuilt with  IC ?

Please the clarify the doubt as earliest  .

    Hi Sendhil,

    No, the BQ24295 does not have fuel gauge function.  The closest fuel gauge like functionality of any of our chargers is the BQ25896, which has integrated ADC to measure the instantaneous V(VBUS), V(BAT), I(BAT), V(TS).   None of our chargers have memory like a fuel gauge.
