LM25118: LM25118: adjustable constant output current

Hi, I would like to use this or a similar suitable device to get an adjustable constant output current between 1A and 20 A out of 12V Vin. The current will be used in a chemical process. Could you give me some criteria or even a schematic diagram to get started.

    Hi Felix,

    Thank you for reaching out.  You can put your load in series with a current sense resistor and feedback that signal such that the load current is regulated.  To reduce the losses, you need external Op-Amp to amplify the signal. Please refer to the attached block diagram of the concept.  Not all LM25118 pins are shown.
