Hello,
I am looking at fuel gauges for a system with a single lithium ion battery (1s1p). The BQ27510-G3 gauge looks perfect for our needs (flash based gauge), but it looks like it only supports low side current sensing. Will it work with high side current sensing? Or is there an equivalent fuel gauge with high side current sensing? It appears that most gauges are intended for use with low side current sensing.
Perhaps I'm mistaken, but my main concern with low side current sensing is the inability to measuring charging current. If my battery charger output is connected to the positive terminal of the battery, I don't believe a low side sense resistor would be able to detect the current flowing to the battery. Is this correct?
Thanks!
