Hello Sir

We plan use bq40Z50 for our battery pack design, but battery pack wire length could be 50cm, Is SMBus any wire length or impedance requirement?

    Hi Yihung,

    BQ40z50 supports SMBus v1.1. There is no direct requirement on the wire length mentioned in the SMBus v1.1 specification. 

    However,  we do list some timing requirements in the bq40z50 datasheet. See Section 7.33.  You may want to check if some of the timing requirements (e.g. setup time and hold time) are not met if 50cm long wires are used.
