TPS63900: Current Consumption including the External Resistors

Hi,

I have input voltage ranging from 3V to 4.2V and would like to use TPS63900 to output 3.3V and 5mA input current limit. This means Rcfg1 and Rcfg2 have to be 36.5Kohm and 1.15Kohm respectively.

What is the current consumption by considering two of the external config. resistors?

How do I calculate it exactly?

Please advise.

    Hi David,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    The TPS63900 reads the values of the resistors connected to the configuration pins only during start-up. After the values are read these pins are disabled, and the resistors will not contribute to the power consumption. Please refer to section 7.3.7 of the datasheet.
