UCC2897A: schematic question

Part Number: UCC2897A

Hi Team,

Below is secondary side for UCC2897A. As I know L6 is filter of output side, but should I add large cap in front of L6? And feedback voltage should be in front of L6 and behind large cap if I add the large cap. You could refer to second image. If we don't modify the schematic, the schematic transfers to 3rd order circuit. Will it cause large unstable factor?

Regards,

Roy

  • Hello Roy

    The first schematic is correct.
A forward type of converter requires an inductor followed by a capacitor on the secondary side of the forward transformer.
The purpose of the inductor is to limit the current into the capacitor.
There is no reason to have a capacitor as shown in your second drawing.

    Regards
