BQ35100: BQ35100 minimum current

Part Number: BQ35100

Hello,

I would like to monitor a Li-SOCL2 battery with the BQ35100. My PCB consumption is 50uA in sleep mode (leds and uC off), and 60mA in run mode. The PCB is in sleep mode 99% of th time. Is the BQ35100 is able to track current as low as 50uA  ?

Thanks.

  • Emilien,

In EOS mode, which is what you should be using for that type of cell, we only care about gauging the current pulse when it spikes to 60mA. You need to have the 60mA hit when the gauge is in [GA]=1 after the gauge start command has been issued.

    Thanks,
