TPS2546: USB storage data resume via TPS2546

Hi,

Customer tested the USB storage data resume via TPS2546 and found the USB2.0 device can resumed successfully(USB2.0 device did not re-detection) from S0(SDP1) ==> S3(DCP_Auto) ==> S0(SDP1) but USB3.0 device cannot resume successfully(USB3.0 device did re-detection). Please check below information. Can you please comment? Thank you.

HI Randy,

I would say the issue could be with the USB3 device. We discharge VBUS to indicate to the connected device that we have changed modes, but the USB3 device does not seem to renegotiate after the discharge. Based on the waveforms you shared, the TPS2546 seems to operating as expected.

Thanks for the answer. Do you have recommended USB 3 device can be pass and renegotiate?

Customer wants to have a test.

Hello Randy,

No I do not. Any compliant device that supports legacy charging should be okay for this test.
