BQ78350-R1: BQ78350-R1

Part Number: BQ78350-R1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCCEDV

Hi

  • Hi,

The Gas Gauging Section (starting on page 6) of the Using the BQ78350-R1 app note explains the ChemID and the process for generating the CEDV coefficients: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slua924/slua924.pdf

Selecting a ChemID might not be necessary depending on the application. It is only used after a reset or coming out of Shutdown to estimate the SOC and Remaining Capacity based on the cell voltages. If the application will not put the device into Shutdown, then the ChemID may not be necessary.

The CEDV coefficients are important for accurate gauging over different load currents and temperature. Follow the app note instructions and the instructions from the GPCCEDV tool to collect the log files. After you submit the log files to the online tool, you can program these coefficients to the device data flash.

    Best regards,

    Matt
