TPS74901: Can Vbias connected to Vin at 2.5V?

Hi,

I am using the TPS74091 to generate 1.8V from 2.5V. Can I connect Vbias to the same 2.5V as Vin? Or it has to be 1.75V larger than 1.8V?

HI An Thai,

Unfortunately, the TPS740 needs VBIAS to be ~1.7 TO 1.8V Higher than VOUT in order to properly drive the gate of the N-Channel MOSFET.

A device like the TPS7A84A can do this without the need for VBIAS.
