Hi Ti Experts,

we want to use the bq76952 in standalone mode for a 16S LiFePo application.

So far we have designed and produced a first PCB version.

I am able to communicate via bqStudio and EV2400 with the device.

I have seen, that the bqStudio uses the "Monitor_7695_0_24-bq76952.bqz"- file.

I have seen in the config-folder of bqStudio the "Monitor_7695_0_28-bq76952.bqz"-file.

Is there a newer firmware-version for the device available?

Hi Klaus,

Yes, we have developed an updated firmware for the device, this will be usable with a later version of the device. We expect to release our final version into production on ti.com later this year. For now, please use Monitor_7695_0_24-bq76952.bqz with the samples you have now.

Hi Klaus,

Unfortunately, the firmware on this device is programmed in ROM, so you cannot reprogram a device, you will need to replace the IC with the updated version when it is available. The newer bqz can then be used with that updated version.
