Dear experts,

My customer is using LM5118, Vin is 9-70V，Vout=12V，Iout=5A. Please help to share your suggestions about their design, thanks for your support.

    Thanks for reaching out with your questions and for using the LM5118.

    Please see my comments below about the schematic.

    1. Current Sense Resistor (R508)

    - Current Sense should be 11mOhm to allow for the full 5A output at the minimum input voltage

    - The Ramp capacitor (C512) should be 420pF with the current sense resistor change

    - The peak inductor current limit will be ~20A.The inductor should have a saturation current rating higher than this value.

    2. MOSFET selection

    - 80V or 100V MOSFETs should be used as the maximum input voltage is 70V. 75V MOSFETs don't provide a lot of margin.
