Could you please give me the following information for TPS2480?

  • 1. Use the VCC supply current information (pg 4 of electrical characteristics table) along with the application supply voltage to estimate power dissipation.

    2. Theta JC is not specified for this device. Use the Theta JA information in the dissipations ratings table on pg 2 of the datasheet to estimate internal junction temperature. For example, in a 12V application the power dissipation is 12 x 1mA = 12mW. For the now airflow case, the junction temperature rise would be 0.012W x 88.3C/W = 1 degree C.
