LMG1210: LMG1210 Half Bridge MOSFET and GaN FET Driver

Part Number: LMG1210

Hey guys,

I was using an LMG1210 for a high frequency buck converter I am working on. In my application, I only need the high side driver and would be operating in the independent input mode. I have a constant 10V signal on HB and a 5V signal on HS. I should be expecting a 5V-10V switching PWM waveform on HO. The only concern I have is if its fine to short Vin & Vdd since I'm not using the LDO? And is it advisable to leave pin 17 (BST), 8 (LO) & 5 (DHL) as floating?

I am attaching a snippet of my circuit. Appreciate any help, thank you!

Regards,

Karan

  • Hi Karan,

Thanks for reaching out on e2e about lmg1210.

You can short VIN and VDD when not needing to use the LDO. You can leave these pins floating since you are only using the high-side part of the driver. PWM/LI pin can also be tied to ground.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
