Hi team,

Good day.

Do we have a single-chip solution for a Li-Ion battery charger with integrated MPPT and Qi-compliant? Our customer would consider using the BQ25570 which has an MPPT integrated and BQ51013B to get power from a QI coil.

I am not aware of single chip charger with integrated MPPT and Qi-compliant receiver.

Hi Jeff,

I've found the bq5105xB which is an integrated wireless power receiver and battery charger, will this also be suitable for solar charging?

Hello Carlo

The BQ505XB needs to operate with a Qi TX, will not work with a solar cell.

As part of the Qi standard information is passed from the RX to TX for control, if the TX does not responded unit will shutdown.

Hi Carlo,

You can parallel the wireless charging RX and TX battery output with battery output of the BQ255XX device.
