BQ76952: Logging function BQStudio

Part Number: BQ76952
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, , BQ20Z65

Hi Ti Experts,

we want to use the bq76952 in standalone mode for a 16S6P (21,6Ah) LiFePo application.

So far we have designed and produced a first PCB version.

I would like to use the logging function from the BqStudio, as I know from other Bq's.

I pushed the Start Log Button and I chosed a file-name.

The file was generated, but it contains nothing. The memory stays at 0KB.

What am I doing wrong?

I am using the Version: 1.3.100.

Thanks for helping us.

Klaus

  • Hi Klaus,

It seems you are able familiar with the tool, the BQ76952 should work similarly.  I can log with this version without a device or interface.  Suggestions:

    1. Try to locate the log file in the installation directory.  I have not experienced this but at least 1 user indicated this was helpful.

    2. Exit BQStudio, check that no other instances are running, then restart BQStudio

    3. Perhaps something went wrong with installation.  You might try to re-install the version to be sure all files were written properly.

  • Hi WM5295,

    thanks for your answer.

Yes, at the moment I am using the bqStudio every day.

I have changed the logging path to the workspace directory of the bqStudio and now it seemed to work:

I could have thought of that myself. With the bq-Evaluation-Software and the bq20z65 and the bq20z95 it was the same behavior, I think.

    Thanks.

    Klaus
